A quick question (hopefully) on permissions

I've upgraded a site to 1.0.14 and I notice that I'm getting config warnings for the cache and images folder. The only way I can get rid of these is to set permissions on the folder to 777. Is this an issue?

OK, the issue was caused by a basic ownership error. Ownership should have been set to www-data on the folders causing the issues

E.g. chown -R www-data:www-data /mysite.com/public/assets/cache [ed. note: bob-rooney last edited this post 9 years, 9 months ago.]
