An error occurred while trying to save the resource.

When I try to save an existing document I get 'An error occurred while trying to save the resource' message.

Curiously enough, it only happens if I add words that are longer than 3 letters, for instance I can add '<h3>Mar, 28.06.201</h3>' and save the page, but if I add a '4' ('<h3>Mar, 28.06.2014</h3>'), I get the error message when trying to save.

It started a few days ago. Before that I could add text with words of any length. All previously added long words are intact.

That's a new one for me. wink

Have you installed any plugins lately?

Have you tried deleting all the files in the core/cache directory?

I'm not clear on this. Is it one specific resource with this problem? Can you add any sequence of three letters, but no string of more than three letters, or is it only that one string causing the problem? How big is the resource to begin with? Could you have possibly reached the limit of a mediumtext-sized field on your server? Could you have reached the limit of the disk space allocated to your domain on your server?

My plugins are CodeMirror and Wayfinder, both installed some time ago and I could edit documents normally after they were installed.

Yes, I did delete all files and directories in the core/cache directory.

            It happens with all documents.

I guess it's any sequence of 3 letters, with any total length of string, so I can add 'jjj nnn ddd' but not 'jjj nnnn ddd'.

The string that's causing the problem can be anywhere in the text. What matters is that (1) it was just added to the resource [haven't been saved before], and (2) it has words longer than 3 letters in it.

The resource is only 34 lines long.

I use only 15.7 Gb of 25Gb of the disk space allocated to my account.

I'll check about the mediumtext-sized field on the server.

Is it only resources? Can you create a new resource? Have you tried checking and repairing the site_content table (via phpMyAdmin)?

sottwell, I can't thank you enough!

I repaired the table via phpMyAdmin and it solved the problem.

Should I now repair all tables, just in case?
