    Hi,

is there a way to filter the users by id? we have almost 3 thousand users and it is difficult to us.

can anyone help me finding the way how to extend the search filter?

The only thing I can think of (short of hacking the MODX core code) would be a utility snippet or CMP that would let you enter the ID and give you the username, which you can search by. To extend that idea, you could have a form (either in a CMP or the front end) that let you enter the ID and then forwarded you to the Create/Edit User page for that user. That should be fairly easy to create. Look at the URL when you edit a user and you'll see what you need to do it.

You can set the number of users displayed to a large number and use your browser's search capability, but with 3 thousand users, it won't help much.

        Hi Bob
Nice idea, it may be the solution.
I need to build a Component, so that the customer can also use it easily.
Unfortunately I have no experience with building components (but I know PHP Programing). Do you know a simple way to do that. i would be very grateful.

        Many thanks smiley

If you need simple, you'd be better off using something like pdoUsers. You could combine pdoUsers with pdoPage. See the documentation for getPage if you don't read Russian, although I do pretty well using these tools with Google Translate to give the rough idea.

If you leave the resource unpublished then only logged-in Manager users can view it.

A form with a simple snippet would be fairly simple. You could put such a form in a CMP -- they don't have to use JavaScript.

The MyComponent extra creates a CMP with a grid like the Batcher extra. It wouldn't be too difficult to adapt it to work with users, but learning MyComponent is probably more trouble than it's worth in your situation unless you want to release your code as an extra with a transport package.
