How to delete wayfinder-cache manually?

After changing the 'Parent Resource' of a Resource wayfinder is ending up in an infinite loop. Clearing the cache of modx doesn´t help.

Does anybody know where I can clear the wayfinder-cache manually by e. g. deleting files by ftp? Or is there another cache for the site-structure which has to be deleted manually to make wayfinder work again?

There is no wayfinder-cache. Please show your Resources tree and the ids of the old and the new parent of the resource you changed. And give your Wayfinder call.

it is a site of more than thousand webpages. As far as this problem only appears when moving a resource to another folder (or change the id of a resource) I think there must be a place where the site structure is saved except the folders which are deleted when using the clear cache function of modx.

You most likely have a resource that is a parent of itself or two resources that are parents of each other. It can happen when you drag resources around in the tree.

If you delete all files in the core/cache directory, it will delete anything Wayfinder has cached, but it won't solve your problem if the 'parent' fields of any resources are invalid.

If you know the resource you changed, you can edit its 'parent' field in the modx_site_content table in PhpMyAdmin (you can just make it a 0 -- that will put it at the root and you can try again). Be sure to delete the files in the core/cache directory after making the change.
