I have configured my htaccess file, and changed in settings "Use Friendly URLs to YES". The Use Friendly Alias was already set to YES.
In my htaccess file I used the opposite of the strict URL method and do have the file name with the dot in front ex .htaccess
The friendly URLs are working except that the full path is not displaying. For documents that are inside a container, the path is simply domain.com/file.html. As well, if I were to actually enter the full path ..domain.com/container/file.html a 404 error is returned.
Does anyone know why this would be occurring.
Figured this out! When searching the term "Friendly" in System Settings, the option for "Use Friendly Alias Path" was not displaying in the results. Not sure why not. After simply scrolling through all System Settings until I arrived at Area: Friendly URLs, all 18 options then displayed, one of which "Use Friendly Alias Path" was not visible for updating. Changed to "YES" and now all works great. Full path to the file now displays in the browser address field.
