    I'm using modx revo 2.2.14-pl.

    I'm moving server with my installation and now all the assets and page urls have messed up so that they duplicate the doman name "mysitename.co.uk/mysitename.co.uk/modxinst/index.php?id=9". The same issue for image links too, although weirdly the stylesheets seem to be ok.

    I realise this is probably one silly setting I have wrong somewhere and I've been trying different things in core/config/config.inc.php all to no avail.

    If someone could tell me which setting would likely be causing this I would be very grateful!

    Also, can't log into the manager but hoping this is a related issue!

      Did you check that all four config files reflect the proper paths?

      /config.inc.php
      /manager/config.inc.php
      /connector/config.inc.php
      /core/config/config.inc.php

      Also manually delete the /core/cache folder to make sure it isn't a cache problem.

      If you still have problems can you tell us more about your hosting environment and what error messages if any you are getting.

        Hello! Thanks for the reply.

        I managed to rectify the first issue and the paths are now looking good, and images loading in. The problem was with the following settings in core/config/config.inc.php. In my old server setup they were as follows:

        $modx_connectors_url= '/*my domain*/modxinst/connectors/';
        $modx_manager_url= '/*my domain*/modxinst/manager/';
        $modx_base_url= '/*my domain*/modxinst/';

        So originally when I updated them I also included the domain of the new site. I have now changed them to this and its fixed that issue:

        $modx_connectors_url= '/modxinst/connectors/';
        $modx_manager_url= '/modxinst/manager/';
        $modx_base_url= '/modxinst/';

        So that just leaves me with one other issue which is logging in. The manager doesn't recognise the password. So went through the password request procedure, received the activation email, followed the link and tried to login with the new password but it still says its not recognised. I've tried this a few times, and cleared the cache etc but still happening.

        There is nothing indicating a problem in the error log.

        Here are my details, let me know if you need more information!

        thankyou

          OK, so I'm not sure why this was happening, but thought I would post the "fix" in case it helps anyone else.

          I simply opened in another browser and login worked ok. Still won't work in my browser of choice which is a little irritating but can live with that, I'm guessing it must be a cookie or something as I have cleared cache and modx cache too.

            Clearing the browser cache won't clear any stale cookies. You need to go into the cookies, search for the domain, and remove any cookies for it.
