I am currently using MODX to implement the site at cs.unk.edu/~bmi/modx
My question concerns my dropmenu. Where it says "Programs" I just want that to be a mouse over that you are unable to click. The way it is setup now is you hover and the dropdown works but if you click on "Programs" you go to a blank page. How can I use a container doc and not have it as a link in my menu?
One thing you can do is to add a redirect snippet to the parent document to redirect to the first child (actually the FirstChildRedirect snippet does this very well and it is bundled with the install).
In most drop menus the item needs to be a link in order to activate the drop action, if this is not the case you could also edit the rowTpl and simply not make the menu item a link.
That snipplet worked awesome!! Thanks problem solved.
You can also use the CSS property "cursor: default;" to make it "appear" unlinked; however the <a> attribute would still apply. Used in conjunction with firstchildredirect, I think that would be a pretty good solution.
