    Does MIGXdb still need the migxchildresources package when working with the child resources tutorial?

      yes, this is still needed.
      I want to keep it seperate as an example-package to get started.
      Normally I copy all the stuff from that package and than I do my customizations.

      This part (registering the TVs for example could be dynamic, of course)

      In current project I have for example in the php-config:

      $parent = '583';
      $newstemplate = '9';

      $this->customconfigs['yeartvid']=83;
      $this->customconfigs['newsparent']=$parent;
      $this->customconfigs['newstemplate']=$newstemplate;

      $parentids = array();
      if ($newsparents = $this->modx->getCollection('modResource',array('parent'=>$parent))){
          foreach ($newsparents as $parent){
              $parentids[] = $parent->get('id');
          }
      }

      $this->customconfigs['parentids']=$parentids;

      $tvnames = array();
      if ($template_o = $this->modx->getObject('modTemplate',$newstemplate)){
          if ($tvs = $template_o->getTemplateVars()){
              foreach($tvs as $tv){
                  $tvnames[] = $tv->get('name');
              }
          }
      }

      $this->customconfigs['includeTVs'] = 1;
      $this->customconfigs['includeTVList'] = implode(',',$tvnames);

        Thanks. I'm thinking of adding this to the migxMultiLang site package I'm building. I already used MIGx and multi-upload for a gallery manager.

          It seems the migxchildresources package is not cooperating with MODx 2.3.1 ...cannot install the transport package from https://github.com/Bruno17/migxchildresources/tree/master/packages ...bummer!
          Could not install package with signature: migxchildresources-1.0.0-beta1 ....or does one need to tweak the zip files before upload?

                just upload all files under core/components/migxchildresources

                import the configuration from that package and you are ready to use that childstutorial-config for your TV and modify a copy of it to your needs.
