New images show in TV tab but not in file manager, front-end

Hi All,

So I'm having a weird bug with modx revo 2.2.10. Up until today, I could successfully upload new images to the file manager. Now when I do, when I hover over them I just see a gray box. In any resource I can upload the same image and it shows up fine in the ModX Browser and as a TV, but on the front-end it is a broken image. I've searched around the forums and tried different things to no avail. Any advice?

Are you using a media source (other than the filesystem) with your TV? What's your TV output in the front-end?

I'm using the filesystem. The output is default. I've isolated the problem now. My error log is showing a series of these three errors:

[2014-06-13 16:17:04] (ERROR @ /connectors/system/phpthumb.php) Error outputting thumbnail:
OutputThumbnail() failed because !is_resource($this->gdimg_output) in file "phpthumb.class.php" on line 557

It's clear now that phpThumb is the culprit. What to do about it, I don't know. I've set phpthumb_document_root to '/var/www/vhosts/[MyDomain]/httpdocs' and phpthumb_allow_src_above_docroot to 'Yes' like I've seen in similar posts, but so far no luck.
