I've recently upgraded my website from Wordpress to MODX. In the old website, there would be numerous pages with URLs like:
http://www.quaverbox.com/?cat=1
http://www.quaverbox.com/?p=53
In the new MODX website, these pages no longer exist. I've set up an error page at
http://www.quaverbox.com/sorry but none of the above URLs redirect to the error page. Only pages that don't contain the question mark (eg.
http://www.quaverbox.com/oldpage) redirect to the error page.
The URLs with the question mark redirect to the homepage instead. Whilst this may seem like an acceptable outcome, in Google all these non-existent pages are now being indexed with the same meta description as my homepage causing some SEO problems.
How do I put a wildcard redirect so that anything beginning with "
http://www.quaverbox.com/?" is also redirected to my error page? I've tried the Redirector package and amending .htaccess with no luck. Any suggestions?
