I’m curious if it’s possible to change a specific setting for all docs within a container in one fell swoop. In my particular instance, I’ve imported a few hundred html docs where I’d like them to be set to not show in the menu.

I think the DocManager module allows changing quite a few settings in one go, but I’m not sure if that includes the show in menu setting.

Try SuperFast. It is not as easy to use as DocManager, but it does have the setting you are looking for. I wish it had the option to click all in a folder. Right now you have to check every single doc, but that is still faster than opening each document.

You could use a simple query in phpMyAdmin
          set hidemenu = 1 where parent = <parent ID>
