DB-driven Media Source

Hi all,

is there yet a solution to have a database-driven media source? So, to cut it short, to have a wordpress-like media-library for example for images, that can have titles, tags, and so on?

I'd love to have this flexibility to insert Media into my pages... much simpler than having to think about own file structure... I love modx, but some things are really cool in WP... put both together, and I'm happy :-D

I think, this should maybe possible with a custom media source, but this is (yet ;-) ) above my modx-skills.

any ideas?
