APC caching and MODX

Just read the recent http://modx.com/blog/2014/05/29/seven-ways-to-make-modx-fly/ blog post which mentioned using APC (Alternative PHP Cache) to speed up php and MODX. I have now installed APC into my vps and was wondering do I need to do anything more within MODX to take advantage of APC.

So long as you have enabled the opcode cache in APC, you don't need to do anything special to take advantage of it. It's something the server handles itself, keeping cached copies of the PHP files that are being used in memory between requests.
