Tiny MCE, Links and Internet Explorer 11

For some reason inserting links with TinyMCE in IE 11 doesn't work.
Still fine in Chrome or Firefox,. Rolling back to IE10 still seems to inset links fine.

Any solution in the pipeline for this do you think? Secondly who is supporting plugins like TinyMCE now?

We have the same problem. Our client cannot use another browser other than IE11 and we also can't use another editor because we've added some plugins to TinyMCE that are specific to the site.

I read that this problem is fixed in a new version of TinyMCE but that new version is not integrated in MODX yet.

Does anyone know how I could upgrade TinyMCE myself? Is it as easy as replacing the files or is the integration more complicated?

I just found a temporary fix for this.
Open manager/templates/default/header.tpl and add to the head-section of the document:


This way IE10 will be emulated and the insert link function works again.
