    Hello!

After an outage at my hosting provider earlier this week I now get a PHP error when I try to sign in to the manager.
Fatal error: Call to a member function get() on a non-object in /path/to/modx/manager/controllers/default/header.php on line 95

    I tried to:

    • Cleared all cookies
    • Cleared cache at /core/cache
And now most reasently I did comment out the line where the error occoures which is
    $this->setPlaceholder('profileAction',$profile->get('action'));

The result of this is that I do get in to the manager but only the top and sidebar render. When I uncomment it agan it gives me the same error as above.

Any suggestions of what can have gone wrong?

I have to MODx sites hosted at this provider which both gives the same error.
MODx version is 2.2.14 for both.

The other side, other than the file system, is also the database. There may have been corruption on the database and for some reason it hasn't been resolved.

      Hope this helps.

      Regards,
      Tom

That might be, but it's a little interesting that it's the exact same error on both sites and not like one being completely dead. I'll check with my hosting provider about it.

Just thought I post an update here.
I were just about to sumbit a ticket to my provider, but decided to try agian just to be sure. Turns out that there is no problem any more, I don't know if there have been something done in the last couple of hours, but it works and I'm happy smiley

            Hi atriix,

Thanks for posting the update. My guess is that whatever was affecting you was also affecting a lot of others in different ways, and it just took them time to figure it out.

            Regards,
            Tom
