    Hello

    I have a multilanguage website
What I did for the website is simple
I made two file Fr and En for each language and all the page for those language are child of the correct language.
    So I have

    -- Home (1)
    --Fr (2)
    ----French pages(3-30)
    --En (31)
    ----English pages(32-64)

Everything was working find until I started to implement maxigalleries
For maxigalleries, you need to create a page with the right snipet call and this will call the right galleries...

My problem is unless I double all my picture, one of the language won’t work properly.
I started to build my galleries in the french side and now I don’t know how to link only the picture to the english side...
    So I have
    -- Home (1)
    --Fr (2)
    ----French pages(3-30)
    ------Photos( X )
    --------Gallery 1 ( X )
    --------Gallery 2 ( X )
    --En (31)
    ----English pages(32-64)
    ------Photos( X )
    And there I’m stuck...

All I tried didn’t work because all my menu would fall on the french section.
Anyone have an idea of how to keep english menu at the top if your comming from the english side of the site ?

I don’t use any picture description.
All the buttons are already bilingual. So Next, previous and close is not a problem they have both languages.

I tought about making a page for each galleries in the english > photos files, like I have to do for each galleries at first. And with a the right snipet I could call the gallery with the ID of the french section that match but that would be a bit painful to implement and hard to explain to other people that don’t know anything about computer and that want to upload files.

I’m not sure why it isn’t working? What is your snippet call?

      [!MaxiGallery? &gal_query_ids=`239` &order_by=`random` &display=`embedded` &smoothgallery_embedLinks=`false` &smoothgallery_delay=`3000` &smoothgallery_height=`400` &smoothgallery_timed=`true` &smoothgallery_showArrows=`false` &smoothgallery_showCarousel=`false` &embedtype=`smoothgallery` &disable_js_libs=`1` &language=`[*Lang*]`!]

You should just be calling the same gallery number in each one. It has been working for me. Now I haven’t been adding to it, so maybe that is where you are having problems.

On the french side, where I did the gallery at first the call is

        [!MaxiGallery? &display=`embedded` &embedtype=`lightboxv2` &pics_per_row=`4` &max_thumb_size=`110` &max_pic_size=`1024` &keep_bigimg=`1` &thumb_use_dropshadow=`1` &order_by=`filename` &order_direction=`ASC`!]

On the english side the call is

        [!MaxiGallery? &display=`embedded` &embedtype=`lightboxv2` &pics_per_row=`4` &max_thumb_size=`110` &max_pic_size=`1024` &keep_bigimg=`1` &thumb_use_dropshadow=`1` &order_by=`filename` &order_direction=`ASC` &gal_query_ids=`72`!]

Now if I do that it’s working

But the childgallery on the english site won’t work...

My call for the child gallery is the fallowing
        [!MaxiGallery? &display=`childgalleries` &childgalleries_level_limit=`1` &childgalleries_ids`60`!]

Where the ID 60 is the folder containing all my galleries on the french side...

I don’t like this methode but if there’s no other way I can work with that...

          [!MaxiGallery? &display=`childgalleries` &childgalleries_level_limit=`1` &childgalleries_ids`60`!]

          is incorrect, should be

          [!MaxiGallery? &display=`childgalleries` &childgalleries_level_limit=`1` &childgalleries_ids=`60`!]

Ok the = made it work BUT
The problem is that all the child gallery have the link to themself and they all have a french template... So this is not right.
If I use childgallery I get link to the french gallery page...

I would need a link the the english gallery page but that page is empty cause it’s poiting to the content of another id...

Are you trying to manage the photos from both pages?

I would think that just managing the photos from the French side and then just linking to them from the English side would work, but maybe I don’t fully understand the problem.

That’s what I want to do...

Manage them from one side and link them from the other...

But how do I link them for the child galleries ?
Because if I select &childgalleries_ids=`X` all the gallerie link will be from the french side.

OK, I think I finally understand exactly what you want to do. You want others to be able to add photos, too. You want to seamlessly duplicate content between the two folders.

My suggestion would be to go around the problem by creating a multilingual area that would be linked from both sides. Then create a second menu just for that photo folder.

                      So
                      [!Wayfinder? &startId=`[[UltimateParent]]` &hideSubMenus=`0` !]

                      and then
                      [!Wayfinder? &startId=`PhotoFolderID` &hideSubMenus=`0` !]

                      Does that make sense?
