    Hi

I have a site which uses a resource as a parent to help set the structure of the site.

    home
    section 1
       sub section 1
          art 1
          art 2
          art 3
       sub section 2
          art 4
          art 5
       sub section 3
          art 6
          art 7
          art 8
    section 2

    and so on.

Each sub section (sub section 1, sub section 2, sub section 3) is in its own resource group and has a corresponding usergroup only able to access content in that section.

However, they have to be able to see Section 1 in order to see the content in their own sub section.

I don't want people to be able to edit the page 'section 1', is there a way to permanently lock it from being edited?

    Cheers

I think this would do it:

      • Put the resources you want to protect in a Resource Group
      • Connect that Resource Group to the Administrator User Group with a Resource Group Access ACL entry with a policy of Resource.
      • Do the same for the other users, but with a policy of Load, List, and View

Make sure the other users are not in the Administrator group.
