    Hi all

I'm looking for suggestions on how to achieve the following.

    • My website will have a public listing of Members and a profile page for each (between 1 to 30).
    • Each Profile page on the website contains simple contact info, bio, a photo and a logo.
    • Each Member has a username and password they use to edit their own info and save it.
    • Once a Member has made changes, the Administrator gets an email and has to approve the update.

My questions center around the following,

    General
When a Member is updating their biography, should this be a MODX manager page or a secure webpage?

When an administrator creates a new Member and issues a username and password, how is each Member represented in the Manager. IE Could they each have their own page in a tree as we'll be using GetResources to publish and sort Member bios on the front page?

How would we allow Members to edit and update their own profile but not pubsish and instead ping an Administrator that there was a page awaiting approval?

    Member images
If Members are uploading a company logo, whats best practice here? IE Should we direct all logo uploads to a sub images folder. How do we clean up nasty file names? How do we ensure that 2 Members uploading a graphic called logo.png doesn't overwrite someone elses logo?

    Many thanks,
    P

      both is possible.
Lastly we made a CMP (with MIGXdb) where a logged-in user had access only to his own resource(s)
It wasn't much work to set this up.
The user has only access to that CMP, where he can edit his own resource(s)

Or, you remember migxAngular for frontend-editing?
That could be an option, too.

      Or Newspublisher.

The Resource for the user can be autocreated. We had a TV, which connects the user with his resource(s)
When he logs in, he can only see his own resource in the manager-CMP (or edit only his own profile-page at frontend)

A draft - resource could be created in a custom-table, which gets copied to the published real resource, as soon, as the draft is approved.

I think each user should have his own (protected) file-directory, where they can upload their logo.
