Primary set phone?

Hello,

I'm very new to MODX i'm fixing a site for a friend and I ran into an issue I can't seem to figure out on my own.
They have a phone number in the header of the site, and its the wrong number. The code in the header looks like this:



However going through the settings I don't really see where this value could be changed?
i've gone through "System Settings" and all through the other stuff that makes sense to me. I'm pretty new to MODX and I apologize if this is something super simple.

Does anyone have any idea where else I should look?

Try the search field in the System Settings, look for primary_phone. Check any context settings, if the site is using contexts. If it's not there then it might be in user settings, although I doubt that. You could also check to see if the site has ClientConfig installed (it will be under the Components -> Configuration menu); if so it's probably in that.

Basically, [[++...]] setting values have this order: System Settings, Context Settings, User Settings, ClientConfig (if used).

Some setting are created during run-time from server variables, such as base_path, base_url, and site_url, and are created when MODX loads the config.inc.php file when a page is requested.

The info about [[++...]] was very helpful.

So in System -> System Settings
Search by Key for primary_phone, and browser find doesn't yield a result.

System -> Contexts
Has two items, but i don't seem to be able to look into them from here.

The MODX i'm using is:
Revolution 2.2.6-pl (traditional) - please let me know if this is not the correct support form to post under for this version.
I mention that because
Components -> Configuration menu
is not there.

However i do have Components as well as something under that called Batcher but looking through it has yield no results so far.

I see the config.inc.php file. Looking into the file I'm not really seeing anything that jumps out at me. I have some PHP background and i'm able to at least guess at what's going on in this file.

Thanks For your help Sottwell! My problem isn't fixed though its not a huge deal since i can still change this manually in the header file. It would have Just been so much cooler to update that value so I know all cases its used would be updated as well. lol

No, if you had ClientConfig installed you'd see the Components->Configuration menu item.

You probably see the two default contexts, mgr and web. What happens if you right-click on "web" and click on "update context"? That should open a panel with a couple of fields, and some tabs. You want to take a look at the Context Settings tab.

Something else occurred to me, check your plugins. There might be a plugin (or even a snippet, for that matter) that sets this value. Making it use the [[++...]] tags isn't difficult, it's just a placeholder with a prefix of "+" (like Wayfinder uses the "wf." prefix for its own placeholders). Even the real System Settings use that same "cheat" to get the double ++ for their tags.

I totally spaced on right clicking in this CMS! I did right click on "web" before but update context with no info didn't seem like what i needed. Thanks to your suggestion i went back and tried it. Sure enough the value I had been looking for all this time was in there.

Sometimes the Manager can be a little inconsistent. Double-click here, right-click there, it usually pays to try different things. I've only been working with Revo for a couple of years now, and I suspect that there are still a lot of thing I haven't discovered in the Manager.
