Hide Elements Tab in Manager

Hi,
for an editor-user I don´t want to give access to elements. So I unselect 'element_tree' in Access-Controls for that user. But when login to the manager of this user it still displaying the Tab Elements on left side width nothing in it!
What can I do to hide this Tab?

Did you Flush Sessions after updating the permissions? And then log back in. You might also make sure all other permissions related to the contents of the elements tree are un checked as well. Is your user in a group that does have access to the elements? [ed. note: mmcgee last edited this post 12 years, 4 months ago.]

Hi,
yes I did flush sessions. The user is in group Editorz with Role content editor and in content editor I unchecked element_tree, tree_show_element_ids, unlock_element_properties, view_element.
I have revo 2.2.10-pl
I also tried to delete the core/cache.

There was also problems to hide Menus like Support, but I solved this by changing the name in the permission-field of system/actions/topMenu and then making a new permission in Administrator policy with exact the same name.

But for the element-Tab I can´t find an equal function.

I'm rather new to this, but I suspect that somehow your group has access to the tree, yet you're limiting this user to not see or edit items in the tree, and thus... the tree item is still visible — if that makes sense.

You may actually have a better handle on it than me, but these two links I found very helpful in setting up permissions.
