Revo won't save edits or new documents

I have this problem on two separate sites now where Revo won't save any new documents or edits to old ones. Any ideas as to why it is failing to work?

Check the server's error logs. Check and repair the site_content table, and the template and template variable tables.

Can you save a resource with no template, and minimal plain text in the content?
