Just wanting to prepare ahead of time for any future web site repairs or troubleshooting that takes longer than expected. What's the best way to take the MODx site offline so to speak so that anyone attempting to access any of the pages from outside links would be directed to a page with some sort of "site undergoing updates" message?
Maybe I found the answer. Go to System Settings and change site_status to "No"
Then either I can allow the default message to appear, or I can create a custom site_unavailable_page.
