I'm running Revolution 2.2 on Zen hosting and had a notification that they were upgrading PHP to 5.4 and MySQL to 5.5. I made sure I had the latest MODx release beforehand and have followed Zen's instructions and deleted and re-added my database user - I also tried adding a new user and updating the config.inc.php file and I'm still getting fatal error calls as follows:
Front end: Fatal error: Call to a member function fetch() on a non-object in /data03/felicity/public_html/core/cache/includes/elements/modsnippet/1.include.cache.php on line 74
Admin :Fatal error: Call to a member function get() on a non-object in /data03/felicity/public_html/core/model/modx/modmanagerresponse.class.php on line 41
There's a note in the Zen update that some php calls will not function after the update but can't see any that would affect the way Modx runs - is there anyone who can help with suggestions please?
BTW:I'm not overly familiar with MODx as this was set up by someone else and I picked it up after the event so need an idiots guide!!

Try manually removing all of the directories under the core/cache directory. Check the three config.core.php files (one in the site root, one in the /connectors/ and one in the /manager/ directory and make sure the MODX_CORE_PATH entries are all pointing to the correct path to your site's core. For example, on my localhost:

It sounds like they did a lot more than just upgrade the PHP and MySQL versions.
Thanks so much for this - I've checked the config.core.php files and they are all correct. I tried deleting all of the folders (after saving a backup) in the cache folder and got a 500 internal server error on both the admin and front end - should I just delete these one by one and try or are there some that I should leave alone please? - screenshot of the folders in that directory attached
