      If you simply copy and paste the revised template code into the template you posted earlier, the slider should work.

      Simply make a copy of the original code and then replace it with what I posted

      Again - the CSS file for bxSlider is not where it is being referenced, so check where you put it on the server and change the reference accordingly

          So, to make this easier and less painful.

          Attached is the new template version - delete the contents of your template and replace it with the contents of the attached file

            Thank you the slider is working. I was referring to completely the wrong folder for the css, thank you for pointing that out, it's looking great now

              I suggest you take a look at the page in a non IE browser e.g. FireFox

              IE displays the slider under the green bar - FireFox displays it to the right of the content area - outside of the main layout

                    I have had a look and it has been suggested that the version of Jquery may be outdated and causing the slider to appear incorrect in other browsers:

                    src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.8.2/jquery.min.js"

                    Someone recommended I change it to
                    jquery.1.9.0++

                      I personally don't think it will have anything to do with jQuery, but anyway, you can grab the latest version of jQuery via their CDN:

                      http://code.jquery.com/jquery-latest.min.js

                      This kind of display problem is generally down to CSS [ed. note: iusemodx last edited this post 12 years, 5 months ago.]
