[SOLVED] Revolution setup

Hi, It's been a long time since I first installed Evo, and now I am upgrading to Revo but cant remember how to do the setup. hat am I meant to put in the browser window?

ok well I have created a sub-domain called revolution. So would I follow this path?

When I use that in the browser I get this message:

FATAL ERROR: MODX Setup cannot continue.

To use PHP 5.3.0+, you must set the date.timezone setting in your php.ini. Please do set it to a proper timezone before proceeding. A list can be found here.

Any ideas?

Yes, just do what it's telling you.

Set the correct Date/Timezone in the php.ini file in the MODX root. If there is no php.ini file, create one there.

The line in php.ini will look something like this (there's a link to other alternatives in the error message you got):



Once you get setup to run, double-check the date_timezone System Setting to make sure it matches what's in the php.ini file.

I have the php.ini file in my root. I also have two folders, Evolution and Revolution as I created a subdomain for Revolution. For Evo I had to add the php.ini file to root and manager, and this overcame the problem. Tried the same for Revolution but nothing changed. I tried adding:



and



to the index.php file as someone suggested, and still nothing. I tried adding the following:

to the .htaccess file and again nothing happened other than getting an Internal 500 server error.


I am just completely lost on what I can do?

Never mind all resolved! In the crossing over of subdoamin etc, I misplaced the php.ini file.

I had to upload it (the php.ini file) to my root, Revolution folder, setup folder and manager folder. Not sure if all were necessary but it is working now
