How does one create a page that is a download? And then create a page that lists several of those pages?
For example, I have uploaded a bunch of pdf files to a folder using the file manager. But they don’t show up in the resource listing. Do I have to make a separate web link for each file? And if I do, can I not add a short description of each one, like the introtext for a normal document?
Then, if I want to have a page listing those documents, do I have to manually create it?
Someone else may have a better answer, but they’re files, not documents so they have no description.
You can write a snippet to read the directory and display them as links for download (I have some example code for this if you need it), but there won’t be any descriptions.
Or you can create a page manually with links and descriptions -- harder to maintain but easier on the user.
You could also modify the upload process so that it would add new files and their descriptions to the download document or add the filename and description to the database and then create a snippet that would read those and create the download page on the fly, but that would be more work for you up front.
