Can't set media sources for tvs

I have recently upgraded an ancient revo2.0.3 to the latest version (2.2.14). For development I have hosted it on modxcloud.

Everythings seems to be running fine, except one thing.

I can't set a media source for a tv. The list is empty.

* I can add and edit media sources.
* I'm logged-in as sudo admin
* I can pick media source in the file tree

As I have checked other installations and can't find the problem anywhere else, I suspect the upgrade process didn't work flawlessly.

I think one of my media source I added today has vanished from the list though. It had id:3 and it isn't there anymore. Perhaps I have deleted it, but I don't think so.

Edit: I just checked. It is still in the database.

Except id and name it is identical to id:4, which shows up in the list.

Perhaps it is a bit shy...

I'm running Chrome and I don't have any js errors in my dev console.

Any ideas, whats going on?

I've deactivated all plugins. No result.

Next I've reinstalled modx and all plugins. No result either.

Any idea where I can poke around next?

I've compared the database to a virgin 2.2.14 install and I noticed some differences.

Four columns are missing in modx_site_tmplvars:

* source
* property_preprocess
* static
* static_file

I've added these fields to the table, but I still can't see media sources in my tv settings.

Questions:

* Is it possible that I've done someting wrong while upgrading the installation?
* Are there any other table where I have to add missing columns/settings?

Bad installation. I would re-install.

I did that already twice, but the problem remains.

Question: Is there any difference between a basic and an advanced setup except the fact that its possible to change db parameters? I must admit, that I'm not sure anymore which road I took. If the answer is yes, I could dig out the old 2.1.3 version and upgrade that one again.

The problem is that your original version didn't have Media Sources at all. I would be inclined to restore the original version (I presume that you do have a backup?), then upgrade first to 2.1, make sure all is well, then go to 2.2, again make sure all is well, as that is when media sources were introduced. After that, you should be able to go to 2.2.14 with little or no trouble.
