Don't understand QuickEdit interacts with document groups

Edit: Never mind. (changed the thread subject) It worked when I made the document apply to "All document groups (public)". How do I limit the docs a webuser group has edit access to, i.e. where the QuickEdit should pop up and where it shouldn’t?
