I've been trying to get Revo running on a new server. Installation goes ok but the sidebar does not appear on the left when I log into manager.
I have tried versions: 2.2.13, 2.2.10, 2.2.4 and 2.0.8 and all have the same affect.
My server info is:
Apache 2.2.3
PHP 5.3.14
MySQL 5.5.25
ASP 3.5
Would anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
Thanks!

Are you sure that it is not just tabbed closed? Very small thin gray tab. Sounds like you've tried multiple versions, so maybe that's not the cause.
Or, changing the ht.access to .htaccess help solved some manager display issues in general on a couple of servers where I experienced manager issues.

One thing you might try as well if you can access it, is view the error log ( Reports > Error Log) in the manager and see if any error exists that relates to the issue.

Try (in this order) turning off the compress_js and compress_css System Settings, deleting all files in the core/cache directory, and clearing your browser cache and cookies.

I am now experiencing the same problem.
But I know exactly where it happened. It happened after I moved the connectors folder. Before that, I had already successfully moved the core folder without any issues. But when I moved the connectors folder as well, also changing the path in core/config/config.inc.php file and running the setup (advanced options) again, the sidebar was gone.
The way I have it setup right now on my hosting:
- Context 1: domains/domain1.com/
- Context 2: domains/domain2.com/
- MODX: domains/mymodxfiles/
So the way I see it, the $modx_connectors_url (not $modx_connectors_path) should not be the default "/connectors/", but "../mymodxfiles/connectors/". Am I wrong in assuming this?
No URL can be outside of the web root. A URL is processed by the web server, which can only access files in its web root.

You can rename the connectors folder and I think you can move it to a subfolder, but as Susan Says, it has to be somewhere under public_html (or the equivalent) on the server.

Yeah, so I noticed. That's why I changed the location of the folder and renamed it, just like you said. It's not the ideal solution for the host, but it will have to do.
