    Hi all,

I have succesfully installed and implemented the gallery extra for my site. My page lay-out is like this:

    - Page title
    - A few paragraphs of text
    - gallery snippet call to load a specific gallery on the page.

It works great, but there is this little thing: if you select a thumbnail to get an enlarged version, the page refresh. If the gallery is below some paragraphs of text, this is confusing for users as they don't snap back to the gallery on the page and the enlarged version of the image. I have remedied this with using an anchor, so users do snap back to the gallery on the page after the pagerefresh. While this works, I wondered if this could also be solved with AJAX?

I don't use PrettyPhoto or FancyBox because they don't work with mobile devices. I just wanted to know if it was possible with the Gallery extra to use AJAX loading for the enlarged image.
        • Yes. MODX doesn't care what Javascript you use. Pick any one you like. Edit the Gallery tpl to generate the HTML that it expects.

If you dó want to use a responsive gallery you could choose try one:
            http://tosrus.frebsite.nl/

Works just as well on a desktop as it does on a tablet or smartphone.

Oke, I don't know much about Ajax, I'm more Feyenoord smiley
