    Hi there
I’m new to MODx and I have spent ages searching through all the different forums etc trying to find an answer to what I would consider a simple problem. I would like images on my website (business logos) to link to the relevant URLs. If I use the editor and the hyperlink sign, follow all the steps as usual for entering a hyperlink, absolutely nothing happens! at present I’ve added the URLs in the texts, but would really like the images to also link to the URL. Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere and thanks heaps for your help in advance. I use Windows Windows XP 2000 home edition. I access Modx using Opera (rather than IE).

the html should be something like this:

      <a href="[~123~]"><img src="path/to/image.jpg" alt="" /></a>

whatever editor you using, click on the ’HTML’ or ’Source’ to see what the editor mess up and take it from there.
if the code is similar then confirm the file path.

ganeshXL has a good point (thx for the link btw)

I also use opera and noticed it’s always crashes on me when I try to upload file with the resource manager. I don’t use the editor no more so its not much of a problem.
maybe try Firefox, with the tools from here https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/browse/type:1/cat:4/sort:rated you will learn to like it and it’s great for web development.

Thanks alot for your suggestions and feedback - I’m using the editor to upload/modify the site as it was created by a designer for us with Modx as our CMS. It’s all a learning process, but I will try the things you suggest and let you know how I go in the future.
