I'm working on an Extra that helps to solve the problems inherent with the MODX resource tree:

Instead of relying on standard MODX folders which display data hierarchically, it offers the ability to display folder contents in a paginated fashion using breadcrumbs -- this prevents the manager from bringing the server to its knees when there is a huge data set.
However, I cannot get that dropdown triangle icon to be hidden -- I can still click it and view the hierarchical contents of my folder. How does one turn off that behavior in a custom resource class?
In my custom resource class:
public $allowChildrenResources = false;
// in the __construct:
$this->set('hide_children_in_tree',true);
// in prepareTreeNode():
$node['hasChildren'] = false;
$node['allowDrop'] = false;
return parent::prepareTreeNode($node);
But no luck. Any ideas?
