Hi, migrated a site from a shared host to a VPS.

backed up the db from phpmyadmin with the default settings
zipped up the site files and folders from the shared host
    ftp download the zip file

domain name on vps is the same btw
dns settings have been amended with domain registrar
created database using same credentials as shared host database
uploaded zip file to vps and extracted to root

amended relevant config files (according to MODX instructions) to reflect vps server path '/var/www/vhosts/mysite.co.uk/httpdocs'
Have turned off friendly URL in the system config of the manager.

Can login to manager with admin account and see all the resources, chunks, templates etc. DNS is resolved

Point of possible interest - original htaccess file was transferred but this was causing a redirect loop in the browser

    RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} .
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www\.mysite\.co.uk [NC]
    RewriteRule (.*) http://www.mysite.co.uk/$1 [R=301,L]

Have commented out the lines now in the .htaccess file and can get into the manager.

Ran an upgrade on the installation which reported successful, also used the test_config.php script to verify success

As it says in the thread subject - the browser shows a blank screen, checked the source code, nothing rendered user side. Can view static files no problem

    VPS server is Plesk v11.5.30
    PHP 5.3.3
    CentOS 6.4

Run out of ideas for now, please can someone advise.

    Thanks

      I am so sorry.

Found the cause and it really is fairly elementary.

I'd forgotten to remove my piwick and tracer chunks from the template, had an inspiration to try the base template and the content showed up. Went through my own template and removed the entries.

      Everything fine now
