Does anyone know a simple way to set up a page so that a user can edit the content of a page, but not move the document, edit its menu index and whether it is shown in the menu?

My design depends on the main menu not changing, so I want to only allow the admin to change those documents, but I still want other users to be able to edit the content of those documents.

As always, any help is greatly appreciated.

The ManagerManager module allows you to control a lot of what is shown on the editing page, but I don’t know if it controls exactly the items you’ve mentioned.

There’s also a configuration item that will allow/disallow the creation of documents in the tree’s root.

Does ManagerManager allow you to hide options on specific documents?
