    Hi,

When I upgraded my MODX from 2.0 to 2.3, the blank page appeared, and if I checked got the error message in the log:
"PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 523800 bytes) in /core/xpdo/om/xpdoquery.class.php on line 804"

And if I logged in as admin through the manager page first, the homepage displayed properly.

May I ask any reason for that?

    Thanks,
    Nick

2.3 is a development version and not recommended for production sites.

Being said that, your installation is using all of the allowed memory for php. You can bypass this by increasing the allowed memory in php.ini or via .htaccess.

        Thanks Zaighan,
I have increased the memory limit from 256M to 512M in .htaccess now, and still got blank page, but with a different error log:
"Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /core/xpdo/om/xpdoobject.class.php on line 2503"

Seems there is a loop or sth there as it executes all the time.

I'd be inclined to go from 2.0 to 2.2, then 2.3. Although actually I've never tried upgrading any 2x version to 2.3. In any case, it does sound like something getting caught in a loop.

Thanks, but it looks everything looks all right and i can also access the site with admin login.
I might will upgrade by 2.0=>2.2=>2.3 if I couldn't fix this error.
