The dashboard suddenly stopped working. The only thing we get now is the news feed, security feed, who's online and recently edited resources. We can't seem to get to the management screen. I checked the site files and there appear to have been no changes. The only thing that I can think of is that the hosting service (hostgator) may have recently changed the version of php that it is using.
Any ideas on how to get this site working again?

Solved. Cache was corrupted. Renamed the cache folder and it created a new cache. Everything was back up and running.

You can delete everything in the core/cache/ directory. MODX will re-generate the cache files as needed.
