I installed a fresh installation of MODx and it seems to be an incomplete installation, even after re-installing it several times. I've attached a screenshot. It clips the bottom visually, and the resources sidebar is not available anywhere. Some of the links in the drop down menus attempt to do something, but the bottom of the screen stays blank. Other links in the drop down don't seem to attempt to do anything. And when I click on the Logout link, nothing happens.

Has this happened to anyone else? I've installed MODx several times before, and I've never had this happen before.

Try going into the database and in the system_settings table find the settings for compress_css and compress_js and set them to 0.

Thanks for the idea. It didn't seem to make a difference though. I inspected the DOM with Firebug, and the left bar was completely empty:
        <div id="modx-leftbar"></div>
In comparison, successful installations have a lot more code in that side bar. The unsuccessful installation has no sidebar at all.

Make sure your browser cache and cookies are cleared for the domain. You might also want to manually delete everything under the core/cache/ directory (after turning off the css and js compression).

Thank you. That seems to have fixed it.
