    If I wanted to have 2 MIGx sliders on the same resource, I'm guessing that I can just duplicate and rename most of the associated chunks and TVs, but there is one TV that I am unsure of. It's one that is simply called "image" and does not have to be assigned to any templates. Will this TV work with multiple MIGx-based images sliders on the page. Or do I also need to create a new image TV with a unique name?

      To be on the safe side, I'd use a different TV. I don't know that using the same one wouldn't work, though. An image TV is an image TV, nothing unusual about it. Still...

        Thanks for the response Susan. I pick up part of my current setup in a tutorial, and of course... it was a tutorial for one slider. The notation simply stated that MIGx would find the TV. I'll created a second one though, as you suggested, just in case. Probably will help me in the long run in remembering what goes with what should I need to come back in and make changes.

          you don't need to create any image-TV for MIGX.

          replace
          "inputTV":"image"
          with
          "inputTVtype":"image"

          in your configuration

            That doesn't always work. I can't think of an example right now, but some of the more complex MIGXdb configurations need a separate TV for input fields.

              Thanks Bruno & Susan:

              At this point — it's all complex to me, and thus, I don't know whether what I am doing is considered complex or not. I started the process with a tutorial that Benjamin had posted, and then further refined with assistance from those of you on the forum.

              My MIGx does have a column for "set" and I can only guess that it's for categorizing the images. Perhaps I can use that to associate the set with a particular slider. I may be confusing in the manager that as in my current page layout I have a giant full screen slider, and the a smaller slider. Now that I'm thinking about it though, if I am building a template for a client, I may want to give them the option of putting essentially as many sliders on one page as they want, and perhaps there is where "set" might come into place.

              I'll give Bruno's suggestion try, but will also probably work toward just making a second set of everything, as redundant as that might be.

              Sometimes I can't tell if I am learning more, or just swimming out into deeper water:)

                There are many ways to generate multiple or as many slide-shows as they want.

                I think, I would create a Resource or a record in a custom-table for each slide-show.
                Then I would use a MIGX-db-TV to manage them (add/edit/remove slideshows)
                If they are Resources, they can be hidden from tree.
                And inside the edit-window, I would use a MIGX-TV to manage the images for each slide-show.

                  Thanks for the feedback. The MIGx-db-TV is over my head, but perhaps I can just use the set column that already exists in my current MIGx. I think at this juncture, I will provide the client with a maximum of 2 slideshows on a page, and in most pages there really only will be one.
