    Hi

    I wondered if I could ask what is s the best way to add videos in Modx
    Tiny Mce has flv, mov, wmv etc but I can’t get it to work,

    ie. WMV looks ok in preview, but doesnt play for instance, the frame is there, but its black with no content.

    I have the MIME types added, Windows server.

    Cheers

      There are several ways to add videos to your site. The easiest thing would possibly be to upload it to youtube and then put the embed code into your document.
      Another option (which i recently implemented for a client) is to create a Template Variable for a File, for example: "FlashVideo", then place the following code in the Template that has the TV attached to it:
      <script type="text/javascript" src="assets/js/swfobject.js"></script>
      <script type="text/javascript">
      	//<!--
      	var so = new SWFObject('assets/flash/mediaplayer.swf','mpl','420','315','8');
      	so.addParam('allowscriptaccess','always');
      	so.addParam('allowfullscreen','true');
      	so.addVariable('height','300');
      	so.addVariable('width','400');
      	so.addVariable('file','[(site_url)][*FlashVideo*]');
      	so.write('Movie');
      	//-->
      </script>

      I’m using the FLV MediaPlayer and SWFObject 1.5 here.
      Now the user can upload a flv file and it will be shown on the Page.

      May not fit all needs, but is quite simple to implement.
