Problems with 2.2.13 Security Update?

2.2.12 has the vulnerability, no? Is 2.2.12 in trouble?

Anyone else having trouble running the update script for 2.2.13? It keeps choking on the database connection for some reason.

You're probably looking at Jay's email from yesterday, or the first version of the security forum post. Jay edited the forum post a bit later to say:

To quickly patch 2.2.12 before a complete upgrade you can replace the modx.class.php from 2.2.13 via: https://raw.github.com/modxcms/revolution/v2.2.13-pl/core/model/modx/modx.class.php

I ran it on four sites without problem. The older versions I applied it to were 2.2.4 and 2.2.5.

This is a problem with PHP 5.5+ when Zend OpCache is enabled, for some reason, it causes problems with the setup.

The easiest solution is to temporarily disable the Zend OpCache, run setup, and then re-enable the OpCache after the upgrade is completed.

Hmm... that's not a great solution. I'm baffled why the opcode caching of *functions* would affect behavior of function output. Is this the same issue? https://github.com/modxcms/revolution/pull/11169
