Hello,
I tried to install Articles via package management.
First it seemed working, but no articles where published.
Then I deinstalled Articles and deleted it completely (via package management in modx).
And now I tried to download it another time and give it a second try. But...:
-Console-window shows up with no content (output:
/*
* MODX Console Output
*
* @date 2014-03-10 13:20:33
*/
/* EOF */
)
- Package management shows "Installed" - but it really isn't (at least not completely): "Create new Article" shows up in the popup-menu in Resource tree, and even the process of creating the new blog is possible, but from thereon nothing works: when I open the new resource in the resource tree, the right side, where normally you'd see the form for new articles / managing articles, there is only empty space - nothing's showing up.
Can anyone help me - or do I have to reinstall modxcms itself?

Hello,
Could you tell us more about your hosting environment?
I think what you're seeing is a result of some quirks in Package Manager. There are subpackages that may or may not be installed during the Articles install (Quip, Archivist, getPage, getResources, and tagLister). When Articles is uninstalled, they (and Articles itself) don't always uninstall cleanly and you're left with a mess.
You can delete the elements for Articles and all the subpackages in the Manager, and then manually delete the files for Articles and all subpackages in core/components/ and assets/components, but there will still be pieces left in the DB.
This happened to me on a localhost install and I ended up having to go through the database and manually delete all records relating to Articles or any of its subpackages.
If I had it to do again, I think I might reinstall MODX if the site wasn't that extensive.
The moral is: If Articles is not working, try to fix it rather than uninstalling/reinstalling it.
