Is it taking care of duplicate content by redirecting it to 1 URL?
What are the cons for using it?

Pro:
- is a good tool to prevent some issue with duplicated content in new sites/projects.
Cons:
- does not allow you to control what it does.
- frequent conflicts with your custom htaccess rules
- in older sites, already indexed by google, it can create many errors in webmaster tools
In my opinion SEO strict URL requires a "refinement" and MODx Evolution needs some upgrades for "Seo"
- bundled support for prev/next in ditto pagination
- bundled support for canonical (There are many ways to do it, but why not include an example in the demo site?)
