    I've got a problem with facebook not being able to pull an image from my website when liking to pages via the social network.

    Normally when posting a link on Facebook it will automatically search the page for an image and display that image along with your link in the news feed.

    Unfortunately for my site all I'm getting displayed is:

    `:limit=`200`]]

    Which looks like it's coming from the header of my template.

        <meta name="description" content="[[*description]]`:limit=`200`]]" />

    Can anyone shed any light on why this is happening? Presumably modx isn't parsing the latter part of that code.

      Isn't supposed to be:

      <meta name="description" content="[[*description:limit=`200`]]" />

        Doh! Yes of course. Thanks. I've obviously been staring at it for too long.

        I'm still not seeing the description though, even when viewing the source code.

        I'm getting
            <meta name="description" content="" />

        Should I change it to introtext instead?

          Depends on what field you're using. If you're using the description field, verified it has content, and it's not showing then I have no answer. I usually try to put the field in without any modifiers to see if it shows up.
