IF you have problems watching the screencast, let me know. This is the first time I have been using QuickCasts and I don't know how reliable they are.
Features:
- Toggle description on/off
- Use markup in description text
- Open all links inside the description in a modal window
Feedback is welcome.

That is a really nice improvement that I could see making a better Manager UX. Good job!

This is very nice indeed. A big improvement in my opinion, I always felt the descriptions were in the wrong place. The extra addition of markup support is also very welcome. I can think of many times that would be useful.
Another thing that bothers me is the, in my opinion, unnecessary line between TVs. It takes up so much unnecessary space I think. But that's another issue. Nice work!
I like it,
Another thing that I think would be great is to have the same little icon to click on the actual category the TV's are stored in ( on the left, yours was layout ), that way we could actually give a run through of each category as apposed to per template variable and this would be fantastic for handing sites over to new clients / when clients have staff changes.
Any chance of letting us know how this was achieved ?, is it edits to the core or can this be done with a plugin / snippet ?
Great job !!!!

Thanks for sharing!
The basic UI is still work in progress. I thought about using a similar approach like the one used in system settings (+/-). But putting the toggle button in front of the label would disturb the rhythm in relation to TV elements without a description. Moving it after the label doesn't look good as well. The question mark was the only idea left.

I agree. There is padding-bottom of 15px. Its only effecting elements classed .modx-tv, so we can easily get rid off it. No messing around with extjs in this case.
Also I can imagine that the subtle border below each TV is invisible to a lot of people. I wonder if we could use something else instead. Anyone in the mood for a quick mockup for further discussion?

I don't understand the category part. Could you post something more, so I can understand the concept?
Edit: You are talking about a special help text for each category? Difficult, that would take modifications to the database. Adding some documentation/helptext per template would be easy, because we can use the description field templates already have. I already thought about displaying stuff in a new tab.
No snippets or plugins were harmed in the production of this project. It is just a (very minor) modification to 2 core files. Less then 20 lines of code actually (more or less). I could do a pull request for revo2.2.x, but I'm planing to to publish it for revo2.3. PM me for more details.

Edit: Man, this looks quite complicated. Have to read the docs to get this done.

Maybe this is something that could be added to 2.3 then, really think this would be a great feature and if it takes another database table then hey ho, how many other CMS offer the ability to create tutorials for each client on the fly ( none ), this could really be a great feature for MODX as everyone builds sites differently and documentation is not specific to each client, its just general and if your not used to MODX its a learning curve.
God this could be so good if it was done in the core ...........
In the meantime, I have a tiny plugin that might be helpful (pun intended...). You can find it in this thread:
