My client has received several e-mails from users having trouble viewing their site on Macs. Apparently, images aren’t showing up, links aren’t working, ads aren’t showing up, etc. Has anyone had any kinds of problems viewing their MODx sites on Macs?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

Never had any problems and I’ve been using Mac for heavy MODx development for years now. But I use FF, not Safari, or (God help us) IE/Mac. I would suggest this is more of a browser issue than a Mac issue per se.

        or (God help us) IE/Mac.
Ouch, I had an IE for Mac user for a client recently and it was like pulling teeth trying to explain why she should not use that browser. shocked

I doubt that it is something specific to the Mac. They may have Javascript turned off or something like that. You could try Safari on the PC just to be sure.

Apparently they’ve viewed it in Safari, FF, and IE, and none of them work. It’s only been in the past week or two that they’ve had this problem. It worked fine until then. Could there possibly be some kind of server configuration setting that would affect this?

            Thanks.

Can you post a link, I will be glad to take a look and isolate if it is somehow specific to them.

Sounds suspicious. I’d check to see if your site has somehow been compromised/hacked. Look at the bottom of the view source for altered closing body or html tags.

Shows up fine here in Safari Mac save for the adstrip stuff not being found (bad path). Check the Activity Window for more details.

I can view fine in FF but in safari some of the images don’t load. In looking at the html it seems that some items are using a leading / while others are not in the url. There are several references without the leading / which are also broken in Safari, for example the search is not to work in safari either. It seems that in your case you need the leading /.

So instead of action="index.php?id=1610" it should read action="/index.php?id=1610"

You might want to run it through a validator, this can also help identifying some problems.

Very nice site BTW, good job. Looks like it has plenty of content.
