Hello

I successfully installed migxMultiLang 1.0.0 using https://forums.modx.com/thread/89080/installing-migxmultilang-in-revo-2-2-11-pl and https://github.com/Bruno17/migxmultilang

System/Extras
MIGX 2.6.7
pdoTools 1.9.0
MODX Revolution 2.2.12
MySQL 5.6.13
PHP 5.3.27
Apache 2

It kind of works now. But I have some troubles.
1. how can I have a content-field other than a text-field. I tried to change the input options in the MIGX Languages Form Manager. Without success. I would like to have a richtext-field (redactor). What do I need to do?
2. I can switch between the languages with the language-switcher, content, longtitle and pagetitle change the language. But not the menu. In fact I use the same settings as in Bruno's example. Any idea what could be wrong?

I really would love to use migxMultiLang. It seems to be very easy to use for my customers. But I have troubles setting it up.

1. for richtext - fields, try inputTVtype: richtext

2. what is your pdoMenu - snippet - call?

1. Thanks, richtext works perfect.

2. my snippet-call:

[[!pdoMenu?
&startId=`1`
&hideSubMenus=`true`
&includeTVs=`mml_pagetitle`
&prepareTVs=`1`
&tvPrefix=`tv.`
&loadModels=`migxmultilang`
&prepareSnippet=`mmlTranslatePdoToolsRow`
&tpl=`mml_MenuRowTpl`
]]

if you have

[[+menutitle]]

in mml_MenuRowTpl

try:

&includeTVs=`mml_pagetitle,mml_menutitle`

this should include the translated mml_menutitle - value and translate it also to [[+menutitle]]

Thanks Bruno, this solves half of my problem.
This is the mml_MenuRowTpl:
<li[[+classes<a href="[[+link]]" [[+attributes[[+menutitle]][[+wrapper]]

The Menu changes now the language using the menu title but it does not change the path to the resource - meaning it still links to for example /de instead of /fr.

since the [[+link]] is a relative url without /de or /fr
the linking to the correct lang-path /de or /fr
is handled by the base href

should change from yourdomain/de/ to yourdomain/fr/, as soon as you switch the language.
Doesn't it?

I had the base href cached and changed it now to uncached. But this seems not to have an influence. The menu links still don't change.

do have it running online, so I could have a quick look into it live.

you had

[[$head]]

cached.

you need everything inside the template-chunk, which can change between languages to call uncached.
needs to be

[[!$head]]

mmlCache does cache everything once for each language.
Cached tags are cached only once for all languages by modx and have then the same value on each language
If you need absolute uncached parts, put them in tags like that:
[![!absoluteUncached]]
