    Hi Guys,

so i have some trouble installing migxMultiLang. Maybe you can show my some pointers where i went wrong.

    my system:
    revo 2.2.11-pl
    Apache 2.2
    mySQL 5.6

    What i did so far:

    • Installed a fresh revo 2.2.11-pl
    • Installed migxMultiLang 1.0.0 via Packet Manager (i can see the new Manager Tab 'migxMultiLang')
    • Installed pdo Tools 1.9.0-pl2 via Packet Manager
    • Modified System Setting (in Area pdotools): changed value of pdoFetch.class to pdotools.mmlfetch

The next Step would be to: 'Make sure the tables get created and up to date by doing following steps:'
To do that i have to go to: 'Go to the MIGX - CMP to the tab 'Package Mangager''

But my new migxMultiLang Menu Entry does not contain any further sub Menu Entries.
Klicking on the Menu Entry 'migxMultiLang' loads the Dashboard.
    see screenshot.

After installation and editing the setting i flushed the cache and relogged.

    So what did i miss?

Do you have MIGx itself installed?

      Requirements
      MIGX - min-version: 2.6.2 pl
pdoTools - min-version: 1.9.0 rc2 (tested only with this version)

yes i skipped this one. Thanks for the pointer

          What i did:

          install:

          1. Installed MIGX 2.6.6 via Packet Manager -> I can see the new Manager Tab 'components' with MIGX inside
          2. Installed migxMultiLang 1.0.0 via Packet Manager -> I can see the new Manager Tab 'migxMultiLang'
          3. Installed pdo Tools 1.9.0-pl2 via Packet Manager
          4. Modified System Setting (in Area pdotools): changed value of pdoFetch.class to pdotools.mmlfetch

          setup migx:

          1. went to the new Manager Tab 'Components/MIGX' -> Manager shows me MIGX Management UI
          2. stayed at first Tab 'Package Manager'
          3. filled the field for Package Name with the value 'migxmultilang'
          4. then switched in the subtabbing to tab 'create Tables'
          5. and clicked on create tables

          setup migxMultiLang:

          1. went to new Manager Tab 'migxMultiLang' -> Manager shows me MIGX Languages
          2. stayed at first Tab 'Languages'
          3. added german(de) and englisch(en) to the table
          4. switched to tab Form Manager
          5. clicked on Import Configuration -> the forms table now shows Brunos 'example' form as an new entry
          6. right clicked the 'example' entry to edit
          7. checked if 'Use as Default Formtabs for all other templates' is set to 'yes'
          8. clicked on finished to save and close the edit window
          9. in the forms table i clicked on the 'create TV's' Button --> now i can see the newly created tv's like mml_content in the Elements Tree / Template Variables

adding the translation tv to my base template (Manager):

          1. went to the Elements Tree
          2. created a new category 'Translations'
          3. created a new tv with following settings: with: name: translations; Category: Translations; input Type: migxdb
            Configurations: mml_translations:migxmultilang,mml_translate:migxmultilang
          4. went to the details of my base template, tab 'template Variables', and checked the new translations tv -> now i can see the translation tv in every document of the resource tree where the base template is assigned.
          5. went to my home document via the ressource tree. switched to tab 'template variables' --> now i can see the German and English entries with edit buttons
          6. clicked edit buttons and filled the fields with some test data

adding the output of the translation tv to my base template via snippet:

          1. i made a chunk 'base_template' that holds all my markup for the site. used bruno's example markup.
          2. i made a template that only holds the snippet call 'mmlCache' uncached with parameters
          3. i snippet gets the name of my 'base_template' chunk as parameter '&tpl'
          4. if i view my home page now i can switch languages and see the different translations of my test content

          finished. Now its working! smiley

First Impression: I think this addon in combination with migx is really powerful and flexible. But because of that also complex to master. I think i need to invest some time to really understand wants going on, and what's all the options are for. Because of this complexity this addon really needs better documentation and an detailed first timer guide to attract more usage. I can help you with this if you like. Beside from this points, this is a job well done. thx Bruno and Susan smiley

things for me to work out now:

          • How to use a language folder in the url? like example.com/de/start/kontakt or example/en/home/contact
          • Is there a way to export the content of a context in a xml or csv file for translation?
          • Will simple oder advanced search work with this way of multilanguage setup?

          Notes:

          • All the save buttons are labeled with 'fertig'(finished). It would be more self-explanatory if you use 'Änderungen speichern'(save changes)
