    Hi everyone,

I was looking for a bit of a heads up on what I am trying to do.

I find myself using MODx for every site I build that needs a CMS, after it’s installed on the sever, I then start the process of customising the settings (cache off, seo on etc) and installing a load of snippets like GetField and EditArea.

Is there any way that I can customise the installer to set a couple of options and automatically install some chunks and snippets?

    Thanks

Sure. Look at install/ and tweak setup.data.sql, setup.sql and setup.info.php.

        Thanks Ryan,

Managed to install the getField snippet, going to try plugins & change the system config next.

        Thanks smiley

That is a cool idea and seems like a simple solution. Nice grin
