I was exploring my core/packages today and discovered that many older versions of plug-ins are still sitting there. In particular Articles (6 versions showing), Quip and Getresources (2 versions each).
Can I simply delete the older packages, retaining only the latest? I don't see any of the older ones listed in my Package Manager, just the currently installed versions.

modx keeps the older versions of packages you had installed to "roll back" to in package manager should you decide you need to.
I would keep the previous version as a safeguard, but I don't see any issue with cleaning out the older ones.
Thanks for the suggestions.
Opengeek, where in package management are earlier versions listed? All I see are the most recent versions listed as being installed, which I want to keep. I only am asking about the leftovers from each subsewuent upgrade of the packages.

In Package Management, click View Details on the extra, then click the Uploaded versions tab. You should see a list of all the historical versions you installed. Right-click on the old version and select "Remove Package Version"
This way is tedious if you have a lot of versions as there is no way to bulk remove, so looking into something like Teleport may save some time.
Thanks to all, the old packages have been sent to that great recycle bin in the sky.
