Does anyone happen to know an easy way to have all of the modx files stored in a sub folder, but still have the root bring up the site?
The hosting company I’ve been using for a while now has a folder in the root called "manager" that they will not allow me to touch, so therefore I can’t put the cms where I want, so I was hoping to still have the site accessed through www.domain.com, but have the MODx located in something like www.domain.com/admin or admin.domain.com.
Anybody have a simple solution? Thank you in advance.

You can also install MODx in a subfolder, and use the .htaccess file to rewrite to that base instead. Then your manager would be at yoursite.com/modx/manager and that would solve the conflict.
I have a similar issue with a folder on the root of the website called "plesk-stats" and I cannot move it as it is used to serve awstats.
How do I manage/change modx to let me access that folder?

You don’t need to do anything, the folder remains where it is and there is no conflict with MODx. You can have any number of folders in the root with MODx, as long as they aren’t named "manager" or "assets".
